Women's Health Nutrition

Women's health nutrition is often surrounded by sweeping claims, restrictive diets and expensive supplements. In reality, good support starts with understanding your health, symptoms, activity and priorities rather than assuming every concern has the same solution.

Hormonal changes and health conditions can influence energy, appetite, recovery, bone health, metabolic health and how you feel day to day.

As a Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist based in Newcastle, I provide evidence-based nutrition support for women across the lifespan, including perimenopause, menopause, PCOS and active female health, both online and in person.

My role is to help you separate useful, evidence-based strategies from the noise and build an approach that supports your health, training and lifestyle.

So you can feel more confident about what to eat without chasing hormone ‘hacks’, removing whole food groups or trying to follow a plan that does not fit your life.

Is this right for you?

You might benefit from women’s health nutrition support if you:

Are navigating perimenopause or menopause.

Have PCOS or concerns relating to metabolic health.

Notice changes in energy, recovery, appetite or body composition.

Want to protect muscle and bone health as you age.

Are active and want nutrition to better support your training.

Feel confused by conflicting advice about hormones and food.

Want a sustainable approach to weight or body composition.

Are returning to activity after illness, injury or a period of reduced training.

Would value personalised advice that considers both health and performance.

Who I work with

You do not need to be an athlete to benefit. This service is for women who want practical, individualised nutrition support for health, activity and long-term wellbeing.

Why RJ Performance Nutrition?

As both a Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist, my approach brings together clinical nutrition, physical activity and performance rather than treating them as separate concerns.

That means looking beyond single nutrients or ‘hormone-balancing’ claims and considering the wider picture: dietary pattern, symptoms, movement, recovery, sleep, health history and what is genuinely realistic.

You’ll receive personalised, evidence-based advice designed around you – not generic menopause rules, unnecessary restriction or promises that nutrition can replace appropriate medical care.
